Comments:

We did an In-State multi-multi, High Power, Field Day style operation for the Pa
QSO Party. 4 networked PCs, running N1MM+; 4 radios + amps.

W3XOX, W3SF, and W3IDT (PVRC members) were the main operators, complemented by
15-year old Garrett, KC3UEX, Aaron, K3THS, and a couple of mostly watchers from
the local Altoona, PA, HorseShoe ARC.

Though there are multiple towers and beams at W3SO, they are all for VHF/UHF
contesting. For the PaQP, we replicated the last field day operation:
G5RV antenna for 80m at maybe 40';
Dipole for 40m at maybe 40';
Tribander on a 30' tower for 20m;
Multi-band vertical for 15m and 10m.

Some amplifiers were power limited to prevent desensitizing the various radios.
New grounding was installed for borrowed 40m station (FTdx10 and Alpha 99).

The results seem to be...

BAND  QSOs  MULTs
80m    189      0
40m   1090     96
20m    443     41
15m     66      1
10m      9      5
TOTAL 1798    143 SCORE: 260,240
PLUS near 10% duplicates!

If these numbers seem strange - no mults for 189 qsos on 80m, for example - it
appears that mults count once. Period. So, any "mult" worked on 80 had
already been worked on, say, 40. Strange for a multi-multi operation. There are,
then, a maximum of 151 multipliers, 67 PA counties and 84 ARRL/RAC sections. We
did work a "clean-sweep" of the PA counties; the missing mults were
likely mostly western VE provinces and some CA sections and maybe PAC (AK was
worked on 40m).

Good time - with hard work - was had by all.
And maybe a few watchers get the contesting bug.
