Comments:

My first ever serious try with the Stew Perry. I used it as an opportunity to
see if improvements to my 160M antenna made any difference.

I added what I thought was the needed length of wire (about 25') to bring the
target frequency down on my vertical 160M antenna and wow! the center frequency
dropped to 1.5MHz! After trimming out about half, it was a more respectable
1.50+/- SWR from 1.8-1.9MHz. So the "getting out" part was better
than before, but the hearing part was still limited to basically eastern US.
Its still a work in progress, but I'm not sure what else I can do. I've got
four radials cut to 1/4 wave (~130') spread around but they are anything but
straight, and I'm not sure I can add more within the limitations I have. I am
still waiting for leaves to fall before I try to get a high rope back up for my
dipoles, maybe then I can try the inverted L that everyone says I need to use.

Thanks to all who pulled my signal out.
