Comments:

What a fun, but what a tiredness at the end..
The station was ready on Thursday so I could relax on Friday. I was not able to
sleep prior the contest for more than 3hrs, even if on the bed for about 6hrs.
I started the contest on 20m as the signals from US were quite strong but the
rate was below expectations.
The first night was quite ok, I've probably focused to much on mults but I was
on track.
Once Saturday morning I tried to run on 10m I felt that something was wrong. It
was a bit disappointing when I've got the 6x2 on fire....hot switching or wrong
antenna, my fault anyway,
Moreover 10m were not as I was expecting, considering the SSB signals I've heard
even on Friday.
When in the night the rate was low I decided to have 40min "power
nap". According to my last mistakes I've used 2 phones 2m away with 3
alarms each. Yes, I woke up :)

Till the end was quite ok, with some excitement on 10m with some strong JA as
well as few US states calling in on my CQ.
At the end of the contest I was not at my best and friends told me last hour I
was barely able to speak. Nonetheless I still believe that sleep deprivation is
the only way to succeed in this contest.
A funny highlight is that quite an high number of stations called like
"599 zz iz4boy de xyz" just after my CQ. Am I missing some new
strategy to complete qso?

In the end let me to thank:
- Davide IZ4BOY to let me use his callsign and coming over for a chat.
- All IR4X contest team who let me use the station and to keep me motivated
during the contest.
- Stan IK4ZGO and Clay I4VEQ for a last minute climb to fix an antenna
- Chris SN7Q and all the others on scoring online for making this event
thrilling!

Thanks for calling in!
See you soon de IT9RGY
