Comments:

I decided today that I'm not a fan of contests that have you declare your power
level as part of the exchange. I started out on 20m working everyone I could
hear at 100W and giving out the "Standard" class. In the evening on
40m, I could hear stations that couldn't copy me. In most contests, I could make
the decision "ok, I'll just enter high power" and crank it up, but
since I'd already given out "standard" as my exchange, I didn't really
have that option.
