Comments:

I ended up hitting this year's ARRL CW a lot harder than I had planned. Good
conditions on the high bands made it much more fun than it's been in the last
few years. I had limited operating time Friday night and none at all Saturday
night, so the low band totals were way down. It was really surprising that I
could get out as well as I did on the high bands using only a 20-15-10 fan
dipole up about 30'. I even managed a nice run on both 15 and 10. 20 was another
story, of course. I usually got creamed trying to get through to the multipliers
but did manage to finally get through in most cases. The 80-40 inverted V up
about 50' performed very well for me. Murphy stayed away for a change and
everything in the station worked fine. Hope conditions continue to improve. It's
going to be really fun when I finally get some decent antennas.
