Comments:
A lot of challenges in this one. The transmitter site was on generator
power, and so was one operator W0YK. The 80m antenna was now a
"3-square"
due to wind, snow and ice damage on the mountain top. We were short on
operators, and our station expert K6TD was gone on a trip.
But we got set up, and W0YK set up for SO2R to give the other ops some
time off. ND2T raced out of the gate with 200 QSOs on 10m! 15m and
20m were hard pressed to keep up. Generally very fine QSO partners.
Only one "PSE CPY" and one brag file. Almost everyone on frequency.
20m was short and unproductive. Our initial lead on the scoreboard
dwindled as 40m came alive for the East Coast. We finally got darkness,
and 40m opened, but the 80m 3-square couldn't deliver enough to keep us
in the lead. We could hear, but hardly be heard on 80m.
Congrats to NJ4P for another fun race!
QSO by hour and band.
