Comments:
Well, I didn't get FT8 working for this contest. Next one I will. I tried
calling cq, using cw, on 6 meters but got no answers. I spotted myself on the
Cali VHF UHF Spotting web page but although a couple of guys said they woule
listen for me, that didn't help. One fellow, Tom, WA6OSX, who lives in Galt,
indicated he'd listen. I could hear CW but could not copy because it was lost
in the mud, but at one point I clearly heard his call. He said he heard me
sending but my signal was to weak to copy.
My one contact was made when I called cq on the 2 meter FM calling frequency.
Someone in Chico responded so I had a contact. Thank you, Jim es 73, Larry
