Comments:

A special thanks to Andy, ZF1EJ, for the use of his super station to get on the
air and provide QSO’s to the World and especially to the WRTC contestants. We
hope they had fun and were trouble free.
And to Marty, NN1C, who managed the software revisions to get the station
on-the-air which allowed us a trouble free 24 hours of operation, Thanks.

The supplemented team in Michigan had never operated the ZF1A station, had never
operated remote, but had been together over the years for the Michigan QSO Party
and special event operations. They included Mark K8ED, Joe, N8EA, and Tom, W8MK
who did have some contest experience from the Caribbean and Cayman Regular Pete,
K8PGJ (ZF2PG). Marty, NN1C (ZF1MA), operated from his home in Massachusetts.

The team and this M2 Operation was put together over the prior couple of weeks
and the plan was just to make QSO’s, help the WRTC Competitors and view the
contest as a Headquarter Station (HQ). The bands were not the best with the low
bands noisy and the high bands especially 10m mostly ineffective. 20M would go
away at times. The most surprising band was 15M which was generally quiet and
did reopen to Europe at 0600z with 20m about 2 hours later.

We hope everyone had fun during the contest and made allot of new QSO’s.
Pete K8PGJ – Troy Michigan
