Comments:

As a new experience most of the SPARC members who came forward to support the
clubs effort in this test, RTTY was an unknown. After a quick show and tell the
operators were let lose to fend for themselves but still under the watchful eye
of there mentors striving to put points on the board for there club.

The St Petersburg Amateur Club, SPARC has a long history of mentoring its
members to improve there operating skills. After being somewhat dormant do to
station relocations and needed station rebuilds for the most part the new
station is operational and within its class very competitive. SPARC is a small
club qualifying within the local club category.

Where back with this NAQP RTTY test being the third consecutive event of the
2023 season. The station operating room features six operating positions with
YEASU FT-1000mp series transceivers and matching computers networked using the
N1MM contest program. Our antenna farm consists of a 55 foot crank-up tower with
a triplexer feeding a tri-band beam a top it. A couple of verticals and a dipole
for 160-80-40 meter operation. Additional improvements are planed for the
station but operator skill and training are always top on the clubs list.
