Comments:

Doing 10m Single-Band in ARRL SSB from this QTH was a real struggle thanks to a
steep uphill slope towards W/VE. The antenna was a simple vertical wire dipole
with the centre at about 25ft. Most of the RF that was intended for the W/VEs
would have been used just warming up the hill blocking me from the USA - hi! 

Most QSOs were hard work. Congrats to those stations further away (eg N6AA,
N2IC) who succeeded in pulling my tiny signal through. 

Hopefully for next year's ARRL Contests I will have found somewhere to operate
from locally in OE5, which does not have a close-by steep hill in the direction
of the W/VEs.
