Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care 
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM 
and W5MPB did Multi-2 in 2023 ARRL DX SSB. 

We hoped to beat the 907 Qs and 66.7 K M-2 score N3UM and W3GB 
got in 2021 ARRL SSB. Wow; we got 1.25 X the Qs and 1.4 X the mults 
for 1.75 X the score. We got 233 fewer Qs and 26 fewer mults on 
160-20 M, but 459 more Qs and 124 more mults on 15 and 10 M! SFI of 
170-180 helped. We ran for just 129 Qs, all on 20 M 19-23Z. Spots 
and tuning gave good rates. 

Bad start; a computer crashed at 0Z. No Qs till 0011Z to restart 
and fix config errors. N3UM got 33 40-M Qs 0011-0121Z, 18 15-M Qs 
0132-0202Z, and 16 40-M Qs 0207-0245Z. A break, then 15 80-M Qs 
0302-0346Z, and QRT to return early. 

W5MPB got 62 Qs on 20 M 0011-0159Z, then a break and 11 80-M Qs in 
10 min, 0211-0221Z. Back on 20 M 0223-0242Z he got 8 Qs, then 4 Qs 
in 4 min. on 15 M and 5 on 20 M by 0313Z. He got 24 Qs on 40 M 0317 
to 0441Z QRT. This pattern of a few Qs to clear the bandmap, then 
QSY till it refills, was typical for both of us most of the contest.

Back at 1239Z, N3UM got 65 15-M Qs by 1334Z, then 131 10-M Qs at 
76/hr 1339-1538Z, and quit to eat. W5MPB checked at 1410Z and found 
few sigs on 20 M. But after N3UM was done with the C3 beam we use on 
10 & 15 M, W5MPB got 32 15-M Qs 1546-1653Z and quit to eat. 

W5MPB 1752-1819Z then got 16 more 15-M Qs, 32 20-M Qs 1834-1943Z, 
and 63 15-M Qs 1946-2259Z. N3UM got 49 10-M Qs 1830-1939Z, then 
88 20-M Qs 1949-2207Z, 43 in 2 runs at 66/hr, and quit to eat. 

After 23Z W5MPB hopped bands for 10 40-M Qs, 24 20-M Qs, and 
21 15-M Qs, then quit at 0236Z to return early. After 0021Z N3UM 
hopped bands for 17 40-M Qs, 38 80-M Qs, & 6 160-M Qs by 0455Z QRT. 

Back 1208-1647Z W5MPB got 81 15-M Qs and broke to eat. N3UM 
1527-1627 got 9 20-M Qs and 39 10-M Qs and broke to eat. 

W5MPB 1754-2253 got 49 15-M Qs, then 4 40-M Qs by 2339Z. N3UM 
1854-2329Z got 137 20-M Qs, 89 in 3 runs at 34 to 62/hr. 

At 2330, a computer crash; we let this be A Sign Unto Us, and quit.
