I love good conditions! It is nice to be able to make QSOs in this contest
almost any time I sit down to the rig! Even with that big solar event, there
were still lots of stations to work.

I did not have any outstanding QSOs. But it was nice to work CY0S on a couple
bands. And it was nice to catch VK9N and ZD7BG on 10 Meters. It also seems to
me that there are more BY stations on. I am generally lucky to work one, but I
picked up four in this contest.

DXCC was 64 and WAZ was 24. I worked 44 European stations, and four of those
were on 10 Meters.

This is just about the only contest where I can successfully call CQ. I got a
"run" of five on 10 Meters and a "run" of six on 15 Meters.
To a chronic S&P'er, it is thrilling to call CQ and actually have stations
come back to me! I was averaging about one Q every 4 or 5 minutes. Most were new
mults, so it wasn't too bad, but I quit after about 20 minutes or so.

Well, the contest season is coming to a close. One more big one left. See you in
the WPX CW. 73, Bill W6QU - W8QZA
