[AMPS] Alpha Bandswitch

I've been having trouble with the bandswitch on my Alpha 76A.  I keep 
burning out the 28mhz contacts, rewiring by shifting the leads over by 
one (the switch has extra contacts), running fine for a while, and 
then having the same thing happen.  Well, of course I'm out of spare 
contacts now and it's time to pay the piper.

Two things:  where can I find a (cheap?) replacement banswitch - directly 
from Alpha or is there any other source?  And also, why does this keep 
happening?

Any thoughts out there?
