But then you would not require the benefit of a high priced engineer to
re-invent the wheel Skip. 
I cant think of any meaningful advance in tube  RF amp design in maybe
30+ years. Magazine ad copy would lead you to believe different!

Even the Alpha 91b is nothing more than a National NCL-2000 upgrade.
