yes, i think i've got mine playing, after a bit of fussing.  no 
"secrets" to reveal however.  "passive grid driven", cathode 
degeneration, 2500V on the plate, -56v on the control grid, and 350v 
on the screen grid.  seems completely stable... power gain could be a 
bit higher, but i like the cathode degen.  i'm in the midst of making 
measurements.  if all goes well i might go to a higher plate voltage 
and see if i can make a real "salmon poacher" out of it!

very preliminary stuff, the above, but it's looking good.  i'm hoping 
to use it in CQ-WPX/CW next weekend to give it a serious test.
