That was a good article in the Oct QEX David. And so was Ian's screen
regulator article. I hope he fixes his PC and gets on line soon. 

Has anyone designed a really decent ( accurate; no drift; etc) meter
circuit that uses readily available meters? $90 is absurd. 
I have about 20 line sections that I picked up at Dayton; mounted on rack
panels and with the remote meter cable. Paid $5 each with the thought of
incorporating one for all the various amps from MF thru UHF. 

I would think that an op amp circuit with attention to details would
allow all those 50ua $2 flea market meters to be used.
