[AMPS] Experience with SS kits from CCI

Larry,

I have built a 1200 watt mobile amplifier based on 4 EB27 kits, a 4 way splitter and a 4 way combiner from CCI.

They provided a quality kit with a circuit board and all the associated components (chip caps, toroids, resistors, etc.)
including appropriate substitution parts if the original part is no longer available.

When a chip capacitor failed (I may have overheated it when building the kit) they were very quick to send a
couple of replacements at no charge.

Two notes, the kit is the "core" of the amplifier -- it is not an amplifier. You have to design and build the
low pass filter(s), the control circuitry and switching, and any protective circuitry you desire.

I think RF Parts is a better source for the transistors as they will provide matched parts.

Wondered if anyone has any experience with the kits provided by CCI
Communications Concepts Int'l for solid state HF amps? Thanks for any
feedback.

Respectfully,
