Hello Al,
As I recall the power ratio is best described in db.
For example for a pair of 3-500z in GG the power gain is 10db,
which means 100w in for 1000w out.
For an 8877 the power gain is said to be 13 db.

In measuring efficiency of a GG amplifier, remember that most
of the input drive appears as an addition to the output.
