The old 2K might be worth about $450-600
The 2K-2 about the same maybe a bit more since no meter changes $500-700.

You can replace the 3-400Z tubes with 3-500 tubes but the sockets will need
to be dropped to accommodate the increased height of the 3-500 tubes. Also a
"bias block" diode bias will work here too.
The 2K-3 was the first HENRY to use the "new" 3-500Z tubes from Eimac. Maybe
getting a manual from that amplifier would show what the progression was
from the earlier model. The 2K-3 also used solid state rectifiers.
I am currently researching a "history of HENRY" and will have a series of
WebPages on all the models from day one. This will help HENRY owners to
learn more about when their amp was built and the features unique to that
model.

I also just bought the very first HENRY amp ever made! a 2K serial number
"1". Soon I'll have that up on my site too.

Also note that later 3-400Z tubes were just as high as 3-500Z tubes as they
now sport a ring at the base making them the same height.

What is an old Henry 2K from 1964 worth? The plate current meter has been
replaced with a Shurite (sure-wrong) meter. It is about a 7 out of 10. It
still has 3-400z's. The plate transformer is now a Peter Dahl. There are
no other mods. It even has the old 3B28's.

Also, what is a Henry 2k-2 from 1972 worth? It is about an 8 out of 10.
It too still has 3-400z's.

Any advice on converting either of these to 3-500z use is welcome.
Neither has bias. I just happen to have some 3-500z's and no 3-400z's.

  Thanks!

  Jim KB6SX
