For serious power on EME, etc the HN is popular. 
Lots of C stuff around at fleamarkets from military surplus but adapters
to useful things are scarce. Pure QRO nuts have also used the LC series
for decades.

The 20+ KW CBers use 7/8" heliax and LC connectors...guess they are not
into DIN yet !
Dunno what the 75M CBers use....
