Igor,
I have always felt that if the station I am calling can't be worked with at
least a solid kilowatt and a yagi then it was not meant to be worked by me.
Remember: this is AMATEUR radio. It is meant to be a hobby. It is meant to
be enjoyable. I know there is a station in Spain who is regularly on 20
meter SSB who runs multiple 6 element monobanders and 200 watts and he
sounds like foreign broadcast he is so loud. But he did the right thing and
invested his time and energy towards an outstanding antenna system.

Save your money, time, and headache with building the mega-amp. If you can
run the power based on your countries regulations that a pair of 3-500s or
4CX800s will deliver then go for that configuration. SB220s and available
for $450.00 U.S. and are easily converted to have 160 meters and full QSK.

Devote your time to improving your antenna. It will benefit you and your ham
fraternity.
