[AMPS] What is this resistor rating?

Hi -

I have a 1" diam. by 12" long 47 ohms carborundum resistor.
As a dry dummy load, it gets very hot at about 700 watts after  about 15
seconds. I wonder what is the nominal rating of this thing.
