[AMPS] Tube selection

Gentlemen,

I am starting to put togeather the componets for a RTTY amp and have
decided to pick between three tubes, 8171, 3cx3000 and 2-8877's.

I am going to run the exciter at LOW output and "brick on key" operation,  
I am leaning toward the 8171 but would like to hear input from others  as
to which tube they would use.
