€  I performed a voice-modulation investigation on two DAF amplifiers.  
One used 4cx250Bs and the other used 813s.   Depending on how heavily 
they were being driven, total on-the-air feculence was 21 to 23 db below 
PEP.  However, with 2-tone modulation and minimal grid currents, they 
were acceptably clean.
