Being picky, what is a 'half-cycle pulse of DC current'?

Wherefor the current squared? ( DC is Direct Current, so DC Current is
Direct Current Current, or Current squared)

The term is nearly as bad as 'IF frequency'.

If it's a half cycle pulse, it can't be DC by definition.

???? Only if the majority of circulating current is from anode to ground,
rather than in the tank tuning cap.
