The 990's BAND DATA jack contains all the inputs and outputs required by the
FL7000. It has the four BCD band data outputs, signal ground, a solid-state
ground-on-transmit output, and a transmit-inhibit input. The BCD outputs
tell the amp which band to use. The ground-on-transmit line keys the amp.
The transmit-inhibit input must be grounded in order for the 990 to emit RF,
and is there to make sure that the amp has switched into transmit before RF
is applied to its input. This lead may or may not be used by the amp -- if
not, it has to be grounded.

The REMOTE jack has just the ground-on-transmit line. It's a duplicate of
the one on the BAND DATA jack. If you flip the RLY switch inside the rig,
this line is switched to the mechanical relay used for keying amps with
high-voltage T/R relays.
