[AMPS] 4-400As vs. 3-500Zs

I plugged a pair of Eimac 4-400A tubes into my LK-500 today to determine the
condx of the tubes. With 150 watts in I get 1300 out on 80 meters. Using
3-500Zs in the same amp on same freq I get 1600 out with 120 watts of drive.

1. where is the extra drive power going?

2. why is the o/p that much less than the triodes?
