Not necessarily. There's always Class AB2 with grid current. It needs a well
regulated bias supply, and a low impedance drive, but it can be linear if
run under the conditions where grid current loading is cancelled by plate
curvature. See Pappenfus et al.

Having said all that, from the point of view of bias supply, neutralising,
gain and general trouble, I wouldn't bother.
