[AMPS] Brightest Bottles

Hi Ed...

Maybe something like the old (WWII-era) 250TH/TL, 450TH/TL, or 304TL. They
would run literally white hot without fatal damage on occasion. Remember
seeing white lines on the high ceiling of the Armory radio room at U of
Minn - when the BC-610 was badly mis-tuned, light from the tube anode was
projected through a narrow crack in the top cover! If memory serves, the
output tube was a single 250TH. Somebody on the reflector will know for
sure.

Hi Everyone,
Anybody on this mailing list know which glass tube used at ham legal limits
glows the brightest? Thinking of building an amp with such a tube and use
it at special ham events. Maybe mesmerize people with its glow and work DX
just for fun.
