I'm running RG-8 .

But here's more to consider:
I took tthe sugeestion that I run a test on SWRs for
all frequencies, both with and without the Amp on. Here's
what I found--

BAREFOOT WITH AMP-MAX POWER 750W
                        10 METER
1.2 -1.5:1 acoss the band - nearly flat 1.2-2.5:1 across band
                        15 METER
1.6:1 at 21.000 3:1 at 21.00
1.3-1.8:1 up to 21.350 1.8-1.1:1 at 21.050-21.250
2.5:1 at 21.400 2.0-5.0:1 at
21.300-21.400
3:1 at 21.450 infinity at 21.450
                        20 METER
1.1-1.25: up to 14.250 1.0-1.6:1 up to 14.250
2.0 at 14.300 1.6:1 at 14.300
3.0 at 14.350 2:1 at 14.350
                       40 METER
8:1 up to 7.100 Infinity across the band
5:1 at 7.150
3:1 at 7.200 up to 7.350

Obviously, there's something wrong with the 40mtr dipole and I'll look
into it. Any suggestions as to cause? In the meantime, what is the
collective opinion on the differences in SWRs with and without the Amp?
Are the differences significant and do they indicate something amiss?

Again thanks for the continuing help. I know this is taking up a lot of
bandwidth, I appreciate the everyone's indulgence.
