[AMPS] need help

Hello Power World,

I'm trying to recalculate some dimentions to metric
standart, but I have got one problem.
"RFC (Anode choke) 50t (urns) of 22swg on 3/4" (18.3mm) PTFE Rod....."
Could somebody expalin me what does it mean SWG (wire number ???) and
how it to convert into metric system. And what material is PTFE ?
Also 16swg, 28swg and so and so.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
