  The MLA2500 with the single 3cx800 should give you at least a KW out. Most 
comparable amps with a single 3cx800 boast 1250 out...  One guy I know runs 
his with a pair but I have been warned against this as the supply and tank 
supposedly cant handle the added stress of the second tube. OTOH this guy has 
been running his with a pair for 2 years... Regards.. Richy
