Sure does. Therefor one should never cut Teflon with an acetylene torch
unless one wears mil-spec chemical warfare apparel.

Seriously, I have never seen Teflon ignite except when used as a dielectric
in a capacitor with lots of RF amps passing through it. You can't light it
off with a match or a hot-wire stripper. How much of a real problem is it?
