In what way will it not forgive you if, for example, you transmit into the wrong
antenna?  I'm considering it for fixed station use, so I don't expect large swr
variations in my antenna, but I've been known to forget to throw the antenna
switch in the heat of a contest.

I would be prepared to add a reflected power sensor to disable the ptt if you
think this is advisable.  Also, what do you use as a power source in the fixed
station?
