Phil,

It could be a bad transistor, but go ahead and check the value of the 
wirewound (typically 5 or 10 watt) equalization resistors on the pass 
transistors, also.

If one of them changes value, it can cause the "out of balance" problem you 
are seeing, too.

Also be sure to check any "gain amplifier" transistors used to drive the 
2N3055 array..  You could have a problem their, too.  Just something to keep 
in mind while you have the "bonnet" up.

Can it just be a bad transistor or is that just a symptom of an internal
problem????  Is there something internal in the power supply that may have
changed value to cause this transistor to be carrying way to much load; or
do I simply just change the pair?  Already picked up a pair at Active
Electronics for $3.00.
