[AMPS] Tarnished tube sockets.

I seem to remember a method that, you could buy from "An Amazing Television
Offer!!", or you could make at home.
Take some water and place in a plastic Tupperware pan (about two inches is
good), add about two tablespoons of Sodium Bi-carbonate and stir well to
dissolve. Place a sheet of aluminum foil in the bottom of the pan. Then
place the item (tube, or coil, etc) in the solution and make sure it comes
in contact with the aluminum foil. If I recall my chemistry, this breaks the
ionic bond of the oxide on the metal once it contact with the foil. Tarn-X I
recall is rather thick and a pain to work.
I just thought I'd add my 5 cents, (cost of living, you know??).
