Older amplifiers even used to bring 120 VAC or 120 VDC right out 
to control leads, sometimes on open terminals and sometimes with 
direct un-fused connections to power lines.

Millen connectors are an accident waiting to happen. A carry-over 
from the poor safety practices of the 1950's and earlier.
