[AMPS] Network analysis of suppressors

It seem that most of us have forgotten that resistors have another limit other
than max. power dissipation. That is a maximum voltage rating . It seem to me
if that rating is seriously exceeded there may be a high current thru the 
center
of the carbon comp resistors from one lead end to the other.  This may 
explain why
in some cases the resistors seem to fail  as they do when fried by a 
parasitic oscillation.
