[AMPS] Possible project?

I just found an article on a amp for 2
meters(http://www.mrs.bt.co.uk/dubus/8503-2.pdf).
It uses two 3CX800A7 tubes. These are (of course) to expensive for me.
Would it be possible to use two GI-7b tubes with this construction?
Any big modifications that has to be made?
I think it would give enough power, for me, at a much lower cost.
