Not really.   In this day and age Marketing and Engineering often have
functions that overlap so enormously that there's no distinction.  In our
company, the engineering group comprises 85% of the Marketing group, but
the whole this is called the Marketing Group.  Very common in companies
with highly technical products, selling to a technical oriented market.
However in a company like Proctor and Gamble for example, there are no soap
makers or engineers in the Marketing Dept - just people with Arts degrees
who learn how to sell to 'people'. They sell sizzle - not steak.
