Amen to that.  The good news is that the 4-1000 air-system socket & 
chimney has the same diameter (8") as a SK-300A and 8171.   Both drive 
with c. 150w.  Power gain is 20db.  Circulating current is around 40a.  
(Q=10, anode I = 4a)
