FWIW, I find it usually takes about a week for a normal letter to/from the 
states. Registered and Special Delivery letters can take much longer - up to 
a MONTH just because there's more signatures and red tape required. UPS or 
similar shipping is less than a week if the documentation is correct. 
Forever if it's not.
