Link coupling eliminates the coupling capacitor altogether.   Although it
may not be practical for multi-band rigs, it is easy to implement for single
band and perhaps adjoining bands.  A Faraday shield reduces harmonics and a
low pass filter optimized for that amplifier can be built easily.
Bandswitching can be eliminated altogether with plug in link coupled coils.
The BC-610 is not for the faint of heart though.  (Power off - short high
voltage; confirm; repeat).
