4,000w of AM carrier requires a linear amplifier that makes 16,000 w PEP. 
  I would use a 4cx10,000D @ 8 - 9kV, 4A peak to do this.  Drive 
requirement is c. 150w PEP.  Triodes like the 3cx10,000A7 requires c. 
1100w  drive.  For 8000w of AM carrier, I would use a 4cx15,000A @ 10 - 
11kV, 6A peak.  Why do you need AM?
