I've lost track of who wrote the above.  But approximately a year ago
(maybe a bit longer), there was some discussion on here about the
above-average (real or perceived) failure rate of Henry power transformers.
Another VE3 not far from me had posted on AMPS asking for help with his
toasted Henry power transformer.  Several people responded that they too
had had the same experience (or knew someone that had the experience).  It
appeared that Henry periodically put the transformer contract out to bid.
There may have been a period of time where the contract winner (ie. the
lowballer) supplied compromised tranformers, destined for short life spans.
