I am building a power supply using a string of el cheapo electrolytics about 100 volt 200uf, i will be using at least 20 of these. Based on the assumption of 100 Ohms per volt i would require about 200k of total bleeder. This would result in using 10K 20 watts per capacitor. Using Measures arguments for lower heat and reliability using 100 K 3 watt resistors, i would end up with 2 MegaOhm of resistors in the power supply bleeder chain. Is this good practice using such a large total resistance for the bleeder chain?
Thanks
Byron
