[AMPS] Phono Jack Problems

Several posts recently have mentioned intermittent contact in the Tx Gnd
circuit of their transceivers. I have had 2 instances where the female
contact clip of the chassis connector did not reliably contact the male
pin on the cable connector. The female clip is made of rather soft sheet
brass which eventually spreads out. The male pins are, typically, 1/8
inch OD. You can slip a small drill into the center of the socket to see
if the contact grips it. Don't overlook this possibility.
