One question raised by your comment. Grounded grid, cathode driven will
have a natural inverse feedback that improves the imd performance. I reca=

that the grounded grid 4-1000 has about -34 db of distortion. If the
inverse feedback improves by 9 db, that would imply that the distortion o=

the grid driven 4-1000 would be under -30 db.
Have you made any measurements of your distortion, or do you have the
published specs of the tube in grid driven configuration?
