Yup. There's about 500kW to 1MW of RF out of the waveguide, as I understand it.
Pulse, of course, but even so, the average is reasonably high with that much
peak power.

It's a cosec squared antenna, so the main lobe doesn't go along the ground, and
it's on a 100 foot high concrete cloumn. Nevertheless, there's enough field to
break into 'bus PA systems and produce a squeal at the prf as it goes round.

23cm is a usual long range surveillance radar frequency.
