Okay, Mr. Jim....let's get you going.
Referring to figures 2a, 2b, and 2c.:
We know that the Omni is a QSK radio, so disregard figure 2c.
You won't need this.

I use figure 2b on my Icom 706 MK-II because it has no PTT relay.
Switching in the Icom is done with transistors.

When there are no relays in the transceiver, Ameritron refers to the
PTT and/or keying circuit as the "QSK line." I have no idea how Ten Tec
does its switching. (solid-state, or a relay.)

I had to buy an Ameritron ARB-70212 Interface Relay Buffer for the 706.
This permits keying of any amplifier. I had this already installed before
I bought the QSK-5. This provides a robust keying circuit for use with
most amps.

I plugged the line from the "Amp Relay" jack on the QSK-5 to the "PTT"
jack on my amp. I made a short jumper, and ran it from the "Aux" jack
to the "Key 1" jack on the QSK-5. My "QSK Line" that comes from the
relay buffer box that was originally plugged into my amp PTT jack is
now plugged into the "Key 2 jack on the QSK-5.

My guess, not knowing Ten-Tec, is that you should have used figure 2a.
Move the plug coming from the Omni to the Henry amp PTT jack to the
"Key 2" jack on the QSK-5. Run a new line from the Henry PTT jack to
the "Amp Relay" jack on the QSK-5. Run a jumper from the Key 1 to the
Aux jack on the QSK-5. This should put you in business.

I won't get into the "hand-shake" stuff until I know that the Omni has one.
My Yaesu FT-ONE does. When the QSK-5 is in the "TX" state, a low-
going signal is sent to a keying transistor in the FT-ONE to allow RF
output. My FT-ONE will not make power unless the "hand-shake" line
has gone low.

Look at the QSK-5 schematic...when "Key 2" goes low, the pin diodes
are switched from RX to TX, and the amp relays are keyed.
When all this is done, the output of IC1 C goes high, turning on Q7 and Q6
which allow your transceiver to make power.

I am sure that the tech at Ameritron has hooked up an Omni to a Henry.
and can save you some time. I called them while waiting for my QSK-5
to arrive, and had all the cables made up. It was plug-and-play for me.
